death of an Aged Citizen Charles Brauss, a well known and highly respected aged citizen of Allentown, died Monday afternoona tthe home of his only son, L. W. Brauss, no. 35 North Tenth Street, from the imfirmities incident to his advance years, at the age of 82. He however was held bedfst only eight days. He was a native of Weisenburg Township, having been born at the Ziegel's Church, near Seipstown. he was raised as a farmer, but when hi his best years, half a century ago, moved to allentown, with his family and at different times was engaged in the lumber, coal and Liquor business. For the ast few years he lived retired. He was the last of his family. His wife, Mary Miller, of Fogelsville) died November 12, 1885. One son, L.A. Brauss with whom he lived, and four grandchildren, survive.

Charles Brauss died at ten minutes past 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his only son, L.A. Brauss No. 35 North Tenth Street. He suffered for some time with general debility due to old age. He was confined to his bed for eight days. Deceased was 82 years of age and was born at Ziegel's Church, near Seipstown. About fifty years ago he moved to Allentown. At different times hew as enganged in the lumber, coal and liquor buiness. Forthe past few years he lived retired. He was the last of his family. His wife (nee Mary Miller, of Fogelsville) died November 12, 1885. One son. L.A. Brauss, with whom he lived, and four grandchildren survive. The funeral will probably be held on Thursday.
