He is survived by his widow, Ada L., and these children: William H., Wilson D., Alvin and Ella, all of Lehigh township. The funeral was held at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning with services at the house and in St. Paul's Church, Indianland. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining. Rev. Dr. J. J. Reitz officiated. The Slatington News - 21 April 1911.

Correction from the newspaper article: According to William's death certificate his parents were Henry (Peter in the 1850 census) and Hannah Hartman Heckman. Hannah Heckman married Abraham Leibenguth after Peter's death in 1855 and Abraham died the same year she did (1878). (bio by: Indianland Roots)
