Frank Menges Dies: Veteran Schoolman

Frank Menges, 84, well-known farmer of Watsontown R. D. 2, died at his home today at 1:30 a. m. He was born in the same house Feb. 11, 1868, the son of John and Diana Menges, both now deceased.

Mr. Menges was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbot-ville. He had taught the Men's Bible class of the Sunday School there for many years.

He had been associated with the Lewis township public schools for 41 years, the first five years as a teacher in rural schools, and the last 36 years as a school di rector, most oi tne time as sec retary.

Mr. Menges and his wife were married Feb. 12, 1891. She is the former Martha Rovenolt.

Survivors include his wife: one daughter, Mrs. Fred Moser, Watsontown R. D. 1; one son, Cyril, Watsontown; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, with the pastor, Rev. Russel A. Flower, officiating. Interment will be in Turbotville cemetery. 'Friends may call at the Paul S. Grittner funeral home, Turbotville, Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m.
