Daniel P. Menges, 88, Succumbs At Watsontown

Daniel P. Menges, 88, Pennsylvania avenue, Watsontown, died Thursday evening at 6 o'clock at his home, following an illness of three weeks from complications.

Mr. Menges was born in Lewis Township, Northumberland county, March 15, 1856, a son of the late John and Diana Menges. He was a farmer and carpenter by occupation until a number of years ago when he retired and .moved to his late residence. He was a member of, the Warrior Run I. O. O. F. Lodge and Trinity Reformed Church, both of Turbotville.

Surviving are his wife, Lulu, a' brother, Frank Menges, of Watsontown R. D. 2, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence with Rev. Russell Flower, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, officiating. Interment will be in the Turbotville Cemetery. Friends may call at the late residence Saturday evening.
