Death of John Gable
John Gable, whose illness has been referred to in these columns, breathed his last at his home, No. 220 Willow Street, about 8:30 last evening. The deceased was perhaps one of the most widely known men in Crawford County. He was about 70 years of age, and spent the greater part of his life as a resident of this county and immediate vicinity. He was at one time proprietor of the Crawford hotel, on Diamond park, and was half owner of the Gable house, purched by himself and brother Charles some years ago. About a month ago Mr. Gable suffered a stroke of paralysis, but later showed improvement. His last illness ent him to his bed about two weeks ago, since which time he was been growning gradually worse. The deceased leaves as the immediate members of his family, his widow and three sons -- William of near Stoneboro, Charles, of Montana, and Harry A. of Spiceland, Ind., all of whom were with him during the last days of his illness.

Announcment of the funeral will be made later.
