Burns Prove Fatal to Mrs. Ellen Haupt
Mother of Prominent Akron Man Succumbs to injuries, Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Ellen Haupt, 80, mother of Howard W. Haupt, president of Kages Coal & Ice Co., succumbed Tuesday at Citizens hospital in Barberton to burns suffered Monday in her home when her clothing caught fire from flames in a open grate.

Besides her son, Howard, she leaves anotehr son, Clington F. Haupt of Barberton, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah J. Jahr of Norton Center.

Mrs. Haupt the daughter of the late Peter and Rebecca Lerch and was born in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. When she was leass than one year old, her parents together weith several families brought her to Loyal Oak in a covered wagon and she remained there until her death. She was amrried to the late William F. Haupt in 1869.

Mrs. Haupt was a ember of Evangelical Lutheran church of Loyal oak.

The body will be sent from the Campfield-Hickman funeral parlors Thursday noon, to the Loyal Oak Lutherna Church. It will repose there until 2:30 o'clock., Thursday afternoon at which time services will be held, Rev. R. L. Lubolt of Wadsworth officating. Burial will be at Loyal Oak.
