Lewis H. Clause
Lewis H. Clause, a well-known retired butcher, died at 4 o?clock yesterd ay afternoon at his home on the Easton-Freemansburg highway, aged 84 year s. He was a native of Bethlehem Township, a son of the late Adam and Eliz abeth Frankenfield Clause. He was a life-long member of the Lutheran Congr egation of the Farmersville church, and was active in work of that congreg ation, having served in many capacities in the church offices. His wife, M alinda Werkheiser Clause, preceded him in death seven years ago.

Surviving him are 69 descendants, including twelve children, Vanselan, Uly sses and May at home, and Mrs. Hulda Frankenfield, Adam, Lewis, Mrs. Nett ie Jasheimer, Mrs. Beulah Marsh, Mrs. Annie Peifer, Mrs. Ella Strouse, San vas and Mrs. Laura Kemmerer; forty-one grandchildren and sixteen great-gra ndchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with brief services at his la te home at 1:30 o?clock followed by regular services in the Farmersville c hurch. Revs. J. A. Klick and H. J. Ehret officiating. Interment will be ma de in the cemetery adjoining the church.
