Dorothy Bechtel
Dorothy G. Bechtel, of 1227 Tilghman St., Allentown, a silk weaver more th an 50 years, died yesterday in the Quakertown Community Hospital. She w as 76.
Miss Bechtel worked the last 28 years for the Allegheny Ribbon Mills, Inc ., Quakertown, there years ago she was honored by the firm upon completi on of 25 years of service.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Lill ie L. (Frankenfield) Bechtel.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and had a 25-year perfe ct attendance record in an adult Sunday School Class there.
Her only survivors are nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Ch arles, Harold, and Rodney and by a sister, Elizabeth Steinmetz.
Services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Hom e, 1601 Hamilton St., Allentown. Viewing will be 7-8:30- p.m. tonight. |
