Jesse Sloyer, 422 Market St., received news Tuesday of the death of a sister, Mrs. Harry Block, of El Dorado. Mrs. Block was the former Eva Sloyer, daughter of the late J. M. and Clara Sloyer. She was born March 20th, 1894, in Horton, and moved with her parents two years later to the Rosean community community north of Emporia. She was married to Mr. Block Feb. 14th, 1915, and they lived on a farm near Admire until 1919, when they moved to El Dorado. Mrs. Block is survived by her husband, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Andrus, El Dorado; her brother; three sisters, sisters, Vera Hill and Elsie Romesburg, El Dorado, and Meta Sims, - Wichita, and two grandchildren, , Linda and David Andrus.
