Leslie Samuel Ford, 87, of 3148 East Blvd., Bethlehem, died Wednesday in S t. Luke's Hospital. He wasthe husband of Ethel (Hager) Ford.
He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 46 years before retiring in 19 62 as assistant auditor of receipts.
Born in East Bangor, he was a son of the late Charles Samuel and Kate (Am y) Ford.
He served in the Army during World War I, serving in Belgium and Fran ce as a member of Battery A, 107th Field Infantry, 28th Division.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter Sally, wife of Dr. Carroll H. Lipp ard of Lynchburg, Va.; a son, Richard H. of Coatesville, Chester County, s ix grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a so n, Charles S.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. B road St., Bethlehem. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday. |
