Lewis Johnson
Lewis Johnson, 57, of 130 south Second street, Quakertown, died shortly be fore midnight, Friday at the Sacred Heart Hospital of peritonitis followi ng an operation for appendicitis. He was admitted to the hospital for sur gical treatment on March 28.

Mr. Johnson is a son of O. James and Marie F, nee. Hartman, Johnson, and w as born in Haycock township, Bucks County. There survived his widow, Anni e, nee Frankenfield, and three children: Mrs. Elsie Fox, Ruth and James, a ll of Quakertown; three grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Ruth and Mr s. S S Detweiler, both of Quakertown, and four brothers, Elmer and Stove r, Tohickon; Freeman, Ottsville, and Warren, Perkasie.

Mr. Johnson signed a contract several months ago to deliver the mail fr om Quakertown to the Pleasant Valley Post Office and was to have entered u pon his new duties in July.

The funeral be held on Thursday, the birthday anniversary of Mr. Johnso n, at 2:00 PM. Short services at his late home will follow by continued s ervice in callers? church with interment in the adjoining cemetery. The R ev. N. Y. Ritter, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, Perkasie, former past or of Keller?s church, will officiate. The body may be veiwed at the John sons home on Wednesday evening between 8 and 9 o?clock.
