Jacob Mease
For the third time in a few months death has held a heavy hand on the Mea se family, of Springfield Township, Bucks County, Last December, Charles M ease, the oldest of six brothers, died suddenly of heart failure. Abo ut a month ago, Jacob Fabain, aged father of Mrs. Charles Mease and Mrs. J acob Mease, passed away just as suddenly. On Monday morning Jacob Meas e, youngest of the brothers, died in St. Luke?s Hospital, Bethlehem, of he morrhages, with which he was seized last Wednesday, while at work on the f arm.
The loss of considerable blood left him in a very weak condition and blo od transfusion from one fo his sons was reported to in an effort to streng then him, but he passed away in spite of the best medical care. He own ed and operated a large farm near Pleasant Valley to which he moved a f ew years ago, after having lived near Hellertown.
His age is 45 years. A wife and 12 children survive, besides four brothe rs and one sister; Henry, Passer; Albert, Silfer?s Valley; Milton, near Sp ringtown; Harvey, Northampton County, and Mrs. Albert Schrantz, Leithsvill e. |
