William Kohl
William Kohl, of Upper Black Eddy, died Wednesday evening at the home of Walter Sigafoos, 4701 Torresdale Avenue, Philadelphia, aged 70 years. Mr. Kohl resided in Upper Black Eddy until the flood of 1903 which wiped out his business there and then went to Stroudsburg, where he conducted a bakery until six or seven years ago when he retired in favor of a son and son-in-law. A year and a half ago he was married the second time to Lillie Sigafoos, and then returned to Upper Black Eddy. He had been a patient for some time in Rosenkrans hospital, East Stroudsburg and was discharge two weeks ago. Later he went to the home of Walter Sigafoos in Philadelphia, so he could consult a physician in that city and while staying there, died.
Besides he wife, he is survived by a son, Carl Sigafoos, a daughter, Mrs. Lyle J. Shearer, both of Stroudsburg, and a brother, Jacob Kohl of Riegelsville. |
