Jacob Kohl
Jacob Kohl, the oldes and most widely known businessman of Riegelsville, d ied at 5:30 p.m. yesterday as the result of a sudden heart attack. He w as 72.
While not in the best of health during the past several years, Mr. Kohl ?s condition improved, and he was able to engage actively in busines s. He was born in Tinicum township, Bucks County, and went to Riegelsvil le as a young man fifty years ago. He purchased the bakery of Sol Bigl ey and followed the bakery business for more than forty years and then con tinued to conduct his bake shop and green grocery store.
Mr. Kohl for many years was active in the affairs of the Riegelsville Buil ding & Loan Association of which he was an officer. He was a member of S t. John Reformed Church, Riegelsville.
The deceased was the last surviving member of a large family He leaves h is widow, Mrs. Emma Ziegler Kohl, and two sons, Albert Kohl, of Riegelsvil le; and Wilmer Kohl, of Pittsfield, Mass; five grandchildren, one the wi fe of J. Carroll Bachman, of Riegelsville, and two great-grandchildren. |
