Eagle-Times Janitor Is Stricken Fatally
Bertram B. Frankenfield, 67, a janitor for the Reading Eagle-Times, was st ricken fatally about 6:45 this morning in a washroom of the Fourth and Cou rt Streets newspaper plant. He resided at 1546 Perkioman Ave.
Frankenfield's body was found by Richard Reddy, a photograver. The Juni or Fire Company ambulance took Frankenfield to Community General Hospita l, where he was prounounced dead on arrival.
Dr. Paul D. Good, coroner, attributed death to a heart ailment. Frankenfi eld was employed by the Eagle-Times since June 1949. He was a retired sh op employee of the Reading Company and was a son of the late Clinton and E mma (Beidler) Frankenfield.
He was born in Philadelphia, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; Ca mp 560, P. O. S. of A., Reading; the Knights of Malta; P. and R. Relife As sociation and the Reading Company Y. M. C. A.
Surviving are his widow, Ada (Alenbach) Frankenfield, and a brother, Howar d, of Philadelphia. Services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Lu tz Funeral HOme, the Rev. J. Wilson Harner officating. |
