Abraham Frankenfield, 94, Retired PRR Car Inspector
Abram Frankenfield, 94, Mildford N.J. formerly of Upper Black Eddy, died t oday in the Zohlman Nursing Home, Richlandtown, where he was a guest a wee k.
Born in Upper Black Eddy, he was a son of the late Francis and Amanda Mowe ry Frankenfield.
Mr. Frankenfield retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad as a car inspect or in 1945. He was one of the last surviving canal boat captains on the D elaware-Lehigh Canal.
He was a member of Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church, Woodmen of the World, Do ylestown: the Knights of the Golden Eagle, Upper Black Eddy.
His wife, Catharine Frankenfield, died in 1971.
Survivors include a son, Fracis, Milford R.D. 1 and a sister, Mrs. Mabel G riffith, Upper Black Eddy.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Ch urch Road, Milford R.D. 1. Interment will be in Upper Tinicum Cemetery. |
