Hannah (Bitting), SEIPLE
Mrs. Hannah Seiple, wife of Manasses Seiple, of Bethlehem, died on Thursda y, aged 58 years. She had been an invalid for more than a year. The dea th of her father, the late venerable Simon S. Bitting, which occurred sev en weeks ago was a severe shock to her and she failed rapidly afterward s. On Oct. 1, 1899, Mrs. Seiple suffered a stroke of paralysis, and subse quently had two more attacks which rendered her an invalid. The deceased w as the second oldest of four children, of the late Simon S. and Mary Berri nger Bitting, and was born in Hilltown, bucks County, on Oct 25, 184 3. On June 13, 1869, she was married to Manassas Seiple. The following s pring Mr. Seiple and wife took up their residence at Bethlehem, where th ey have lived ever since. Mrs. Sieple was a member of Salem Lutheran Chur ch, taught for more than a quarter of a century in the Sunday school and w as very active in the Ladies Aid Society as well as the Senior Missiona ry Society. Besides her husband three children, Ellamanda, wife of Richa rd Breish, Miss Cora and Harvey, who reside at home. One sister, Amand a, wife of John Seiple of Bethlehem, and one grandchild survive her. T he funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon.
