Gillespie
George D. Gillespie, 88, a retired employee from the Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp. died Friday at Fitzgeral Mercy Hospital, Darby.
He lived at 503 Trites Ave., Glenolden for the past five years and formelry lived in Norwood for 50 years.
Mr. Gillespie was a member of Prospect Lodge no. 578, F&AM of Prospect park; Norwood Assemble No,. 44 Artisians Order of Mutal Protection, Prospect Park and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Norwood. Mr. Gillespie was born in Northumberland and had lived in Shamokin before coming to Norwood.
He is survived by a daughter, mrs. Dorothy E. Carre at home; a grandson and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Griffith Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood, Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Concordville.
Calling hours wil be this evening from 7 to 9 at the Chapel. Masonic services will be his evening at 8 in the chapel. |
