Dr. C. B. Campbell
Dr. C. B. Campbell, 74, civic health leader who was born in Quakertown t he son of Samuel Campbell and Amanda (Nee Bearn), Campbell, passed away Fe b. 6, in Emergency hospital, Washington, D.C., after two weeks? illness.

Dr. Campbell, who resided at 1731 Lamont St., N.W., was a crusader for ma ny improvements in health legislation.

In early boyhood, his parents moved to Virginia and Dr. Campbell receiv ed his early education at Leesburg academy. He was graduated from the Geo rge Washington University school of pharmacy in 1891 and from Georgetown U niversity medical school in 1893. For years he owned and operated drug st ores at 14th and Glifton Sts., N.W. in Washington and at two locatio ns at Mt. Pleasant St., and Park Road, N.@. He practice medicine for ma ny years, with offic4es in the Farragut Bldg.

He held a commission as major in the Army Medical Corps reserve and w as a member of the Federal Lodge of Masons. He was active in Calvary Metho dist church where he sometimes taught the Men?s Bible class.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lotta R. Campbell; one daughter, Mrs. Robe rt R. Johnson, and a granddaughter, Robert Campbell of Philadelphia. A cou sin, Mrs. Walter Z. Barndt, resides at 301 E. Broad St., Quakertown.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Hines funeral home, 14 th and Harvard Sts., N.W., with Rev. Dr. Orris G. Robinson, pastor of Calv ary Methodist Church, officatiating.
