George A. Conners, Formerly of Easton
George A. Conners, 74, formerly of Easton, was found dead in his room at t he Hotel Grand, Wilkes-Barre, late Wednesday night. Death was attribut ed to a coronary occlusion.
Mr. Conners was employed as a machinist for the Lehigh Valley Railroad f or 35 years. He retired in1946.
Born in Easton on Dec. 11, 1884, he was a son of the late John and Agat ha Amey Conners. He resided in Wilkes-Barre for the last 11 years. His wi fe, the former Elizabeth Rapp, died March 4, 1927.
He was of the United Church of Christ faith.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. William Litsinger and Mrs. Emma Heimbac h, and a brother, John H. Conners, all of Easton.
The funeral will be private.

The funeral of George A. Conners, 74, formerly of Easton, was held this mo rning at the Bender Funeral Home, Easton. Mr. Conners was found dead in h is room at the Hotel Grand, Wilkes-Barre, late Wednesday night.
The Rev. R. C. Steinhart, pastor of First Evangelical Congregational Churc h, officiated. Interment was in Hay?s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Rog er J. Conners, Carl R. Wohlbach, Jack Feinstein, and William N. Walter. |
