Mrs. Milton J. Amey Dies in Seventy-Second Year
Mrs. Amanda A. Amey, wif of Milton J. Amey, died at 1:40 o?clock Sunday mo rning at her home, 457 Linden Street, aged 71 years and 22 days. She had b een sick for the past three months but was confined to bed only during t he last week.
Mrs. Amey was born in Allentown, the daughter of John and Hannah, nee Ries s, Hamman. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and h er father had been superintendent of the Sunday school of that church f or twenty-six years. She was also a member of the Home department of S t. Paul?s Sunday school.
There survive her husband, one son, Charles L. Amey, Brooklyn, N. Y., a nd two daughters, Mrs. F. A. Jordan, 34 South West Street, Allentown, a nd Mrs. John A. Bechtold, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Four grandchildren, t wo brothers, James, Greenville, Pa., and Lewis, Lake Harmony and one siste r, Mrs. Emma Hoats, 932 Chew Street, this city, also survive.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o?clock at Burkhol der?s funeral parlors, 816 Linden Street. Interment will be made in Uni on cemetery at the convenience of the family. |
