John Frankenfield
John Frankenfield, 89, who was employed for years as the lockskeeper at the intersection of Bald Eagle Creek and the canal, above Flemington, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Dugan, Muncy R D. 3,.

Mr. Frankenfield left here about 14 yeas ago and had spent his time with his daughter, winters usually in Philadelphia with Miss Kathryn M. Frankenfield, summers with Mrs. Dugan and Mrs. Henry R. Wear, also of Muncy.

He had returned from Philadlephia this spring and was in his usual health until he suffered a stroke Sunday.

Born May 1, 1869, in Clinton County, he was a son of Rueben and Catherine Frankenfield, and is the last surviving member of his family. His wife, Barbara Zeigler Frankenfield, died many years ago. he was a member of the Fairpoint Methodist Church.

In additon to his three daughters, he is survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
