Railroad Accident - A man named Levi Messinger, residing in Freemansburg, was killed this morning, below Bethlehem, while walking the track of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. At the time of the accident there was a coal train going west and a passenger train, No. 1 due here at 6:50 a.m., coming east. No doubt, he became confused, and in endeavoring to avoid the coal train, got on the down track and was stuck and instantly killed by the passenger train. His body was taken to Freemansburg, and coroner Thomas notified to hold an inquest. The verdict of the jury was that he was accidentally killed, and that no blame could be charged to the railroad employees. Deceased leaves a wife, and seven small children.
