Josiah E. Schweitzer
Josiah E. Schweitzer, of West Bethlehem, died at his residence this morni ng after an illness of about a year, aged seventy years. The deceased w as a native of Shoenersville and a son of the long since deceased Mr. a nd Mrs. John D. Schweitzer of that place. For the past forty years he h ad made his home in the Bethlehems where he carried on the mercantile busi ness until thirteen years ago, when he retired. His widow and one son Cal vin A. Schweitzer, survive him.

Death of Josiah E. Sweitzer
Josiah E. Sweitzer, of West Bethlehem, died yesterday. He was born July 2 5, 1833, near Schoenersville, Hanover Township and as the only son of Jo hn and Hannah (DeWalt) Sweitzer. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Jos hua Yeager, of Schoenersville. In 1859 he was married to Camilla Illic k, of near Schoenersville. For seven years he lived in the old homestea d, during which time he took an active part in public affairs, having serv ed as justice of the peace and school director. He had lived in the Bethle hems for the last 40 years, where he was engaged in the mercantile busine ss until thirteen years ago, when he retired. Deceased is survived by h is widow and one son, Calvin A. Sweitzer, of West Bethlehem.
