Joseph W. Hinkel Express Foreman in Ad Composition
Joseph W. Hinkel, 59, of Easton RD#1, died Monday morning in Easton Hospital.
After joining The Express on Sept. 8, 1941 as an apprentice in the composing room, he was named assistant foreman in ad composition in 1966. In 1970 he was named foreman, a position he held at the
time of his death.
Born Nov. 23, 1922, in Easton, he was a son of the late Clayton & Lucetta Lubastria Hinkel.
He was a member of the Easton Fleas Club, and served in the U.S. Army Military Police during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Doris A. Paul; 3 sons, ***** of Hackettstown, ***** of Forks Township, and *****of Easton; 2 brothers, George R. of Tulsa, Okla., and Roalnd R. of Easton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Leon Osback, Madison, Wis., and *****, Easton; and 6 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Clements Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Forks Cemetery. |
