Peter H Seip
Peter H. Seip, a well-known and respected resident of Wilson borough, di ed during the night at his home, 1615 Northampton street. He had not be en well for some time but when we went to bed last evening he appear ed to be in fairly good health. He was 77 years old.

Mr. Seip was a native of Palmer township and was a son of the late Jacob a nd Annie M. Edelman Seip. The paternal grandfather Jacob Seip built the S eipsville Hotel in 1780 and was the man for whom the village of Seipsvil le was named.

For many years Peter H. Seip took an active interest in the affairs of Pal mer Township. About a year go he resigned as a member of the county boa rd of viewers after serving over ten years . For many years he serv ed as a director of the Citizens; Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Northam pton County. resigning from that office two years ago.

For thirty years he served as treasurer of Black Knight Commandery, No. 10 9, Knights of Malta, of this city, having been elected to office at the ti me of the institution of the commandery. He was a member of the First Ref ormed Church of this city.

Mrs. Seip is survived by two sons, Asher Seip, of Easton, and Jacob W. Se ip of Fort Doge Iowa and one daughter, Alice E. Simmons: also two sister s, Mrs. Emma E. Hess, wife of Peter J. Hess, of Bethlehem and Mrs. Sar ah M. Bowers, wife of Oscar F. Bowers of Easton.
