A lifelong resident of Easton, she was the daughter of the late James a nd Mary Royer Buss. She was a member of First Moravian Church, Easton. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert K Sassama n; three sons, John F. Carey, of Easton; Richard B., Philadelphia, and Ja mes M., Roselle, N. J.; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Nina Purdy, and a brot her, William T, both of Easton.
