Ruth R. Rader Shimer, 95, formerly of Coatesville, Chester County, and Tel -Hai Retirement Community, Beaver Dam Road, Honey Brook, Chester County, died March 29 in Conestoga View, Lancaster. She was the wife of Clayton Shi mer, who died in 1994.
She was a seamstress for the former T & E Sportswear sewing factory and t he former Cardinal Cottons, both of Coatesville.
Born in Forks Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Emma (Sav itz) Rader.
She was a member of Twin Valley Bible Chapel, Narvon, Lancaster County.
She was a member of Morgantown Senior Center, Berks County.
Survivors: Daughters, Ruth Medinger of Melbourne, Fla., Marilynn Scott of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Jeraldine Bowder of Elverson, Chester County; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Tel-Hai Chapel. Graveside services, 11 a. m. Thursday, Forks Cemetery, Stockertown. Call 1-2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel. Arrangements, Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, Chester County. |
