George O. Nicholas
George O . Nicholas, a well known Lehigh Valley Railroad Engineer, died sh ortly before 2 o'clock this afternoon at his home 345 Berwick street, of B right's Disease. He had been ill for the past four weeks and had spent t wo weeks of that time in Dr. Correll's Hospital. Dr. Nicholas was 53 yea rs old. He had been employed on the Lehigh Valley Railroad for the pa st 28 years, the great part of the time as an engineer.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Beam, Miss Helen Nicholas, Mrs. Edwin Kressler and Mrs. Robert Reichard, all of Easton' three grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: William Nicholas, of Washington, D. C. ; Otis Nicholas, of Philadelphia; Frank Nicholas, of Morris Plains, N.J.; Mrs. Howard Laubach, of Durham; Mrs. Harvey Riegel, of Durham, and Mrs. Mary Strock, of Springtown.

Mr. Nicholas was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Easton Lodge of Moose, and P. O. S. of A and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a native of Williams Township but spent the greater part of his life in Easton.
