Samuel Beil, Sr
Samuel
Beil, Sr., departed this life Monday, June 5, at his home on Harrison Street. His health had been failing for a couple of years yet he was able to take occasional walks up town on buiness and was not confined to his bed until about three weeks ago. He came to this county from the neighjborhood of Bethehem, Northampton County, when but a lad of five years. And having reached the advanced age of almost 88 years he was full of reminiscences of the great changes that have marked the settlement and industrial growth of this community.

His boyhood days were spent on the farm near the present site of Shenango. The busy years of his life were given to carpentering and farming. For many years he owned and condcuted teh Muntz Farm, a mile north of town and did not retire to his late home in Greenville until nine years ago. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Ella, and six grandchildren.

He was the son of John and Rosanna Beil and in December 1845, was marreid to Mary Ann Mowery, who died aobut eight years ago. Two sons, have died, E.W. abnd Reuben.

He was received in communicat membership with Good Hope Lutehran Church and became active both in the organization of Trinity Lutehran congregatio and in teh errectio of its church building. He regularly attendeant oat its ervice and fell saleep with childliek confience in Jesus as his Savior. His funeral services will be held at the residence of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Reuben Beil, 19 State Street, at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
