Andrew Heyer, 77, Retired Inspector at Ingersoll-Rand
Andrew Heyer, 77, of 1519 Lehigh Street, a retired inspector at the Ingers oll-Rand Co., died yesterday afternoon about 3:45 o?clock in the Elizabe th General Hospital, Elizabeth, N.J.
Mr. Heyer has been visiting his daughter, Mrs. Paul A. Yeisley, at Linde n, N.J, when he was taken ill on July 18 and hospitalized. He was accompa nied on the trip by his wife, Mrs. Alma E. Stoute Heyer.
When he retired his position as inspector in the compressor division of t he Ingersoll-Rand last September, Mr. Heyer had completed 46 years of serv ice with the company.
He was born on April 11, 1873 in Moore Township and had made his home in E aston for many years. Mr. Heyer was a member of the Easton Eagles Lodg e, the Jr. O.U.A.M., and St. Mark?s Evangelical Reformed Church.
Surviving besides his wife, and daughter, and another daughter, Mrs. Hora ce M. Benward, of Easton; a son Samuel P. Heyer of Easton; four sisters: M iss May Heyer, Mrs. Ida Graver and Mrs. Edward Loux, all of Nazareth, a nd Mrs. Maggie James, of Pen Argyl; six grandchildren and three great-gran dchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Bender funeral hom e, Easton. The Rev. Frank W. Teske, D. D., pastor of St. Mark?s Church, wi ll officiate. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. |
