Robert E. L. Frankenfield, 81, a drummer in the Pioneer band for many year s, died Wednesday at the home of his nephew, John H. H. Frankenfield, 2 26 N. Hall St. He had been in failing health for the past two years and w as bedfast the last four days. Retired for the past 20 years, he had be en a loom fixer in the Adelaide silk mill for 44 years. Mr. Frankenfie ld was a member of Salem Reformed church and fraternally was affiliated wi th the Eagles, the East Allentown Fire Co., Phil H. Sheridan council No. 2 87, Fraternal Patriotic Americans, Allen Camp No. 6, Sons of U.V. of C.W ., and the Musicians Protective Assn. No. 561, American Federation of Musi cians. He was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Ida (Moyer) Frankenfield, a nd is survived by a sister, Mrs. Minnie Torrence, of Allentown, and sever al nieces and nephews.
