Jacob Mutchler
Jacob Mutchler died about ten o?clock last evening at his home, No. 985 Be rwick street, South Side. He has been an invalid for about five years wi th a complication of diseases. He was the son of the late John and Margar et Mutchler. He was born at Chain Dam, May 1826. In his younger days he w as a blacksmith and was in business for himself. For thirty=five yea rs he was boss blacksmith for the Glendon Iron company. He was at one ti me a member of the school boards of Palmer Township, Glendon and South Eas ton. He moved to South Easton in 1873. He was married to Miss Malinda Nob le about forty-eight years ago. His wife and the following children survi ve him: John Mutchler, of St. Paul; Eugene J. Mutchler, W. Asher Mutchle r, Frank Mutchler and Clara Mutchler of South Side; also by the followi ng brothers; Mellick Mutchler, of Easton; Valentine Mutchler, of West East on, and John Mutcler, of Philadelphia. The late Congressman William Mutchl er was also a brother of the deceased. |
