Milton E. Kriedler
Milton E. Kreidler, a well-known retired shoe merchant, of Bethlehem, di ed at 6:30 this morning at his home, 944 Itaska street, South Side, that c ity, of a complication of ailments. He would have reached the age of 73 years in May.

Mr. Kreidler was born in Belfast, this county, and was a sonof the late Jacob and Lovina Kreidler. For a number of years the family lived at Bath. In early life Mr. Kreidler was a clerk inthe general store of A. L. Steuben at Hecktown and also taught school near Bath. He was bookkepper f or firms in Catasauqua, Allentown and Bethlehem and then became manag er of the she clothing and hat departments of the Bethlehem Supply Company's Store, hold that postion for 19 years.

In 1901 Mr. Kreidler opened a retail shoe store at 17 east Third street a nd three years ago retired from business being succeeded by his sons, Llo yd L, Merritt S. and H.U. Kreidler

Mr. Kreidler was an active member of Fritz Memorial M.E. church was presid ent of the board of turstee, a licensed exhorter, an elder and teacher in the Sunday school for many years. About 20 years ago he ran for coron er on the Prohibition ticket but was defeated.

His widow who was formerly Miss Emma L. Clause, of Allentown, survives him with three sons, Lloyd L., Merritt S. and H.U. Kreidler and one daughter, Mrs. D. J. George, New York. He also leaves four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Frank Santee, Scranton; Mrs. Lillian Sinsabaugh, Blakely, Pa.; Mrs Edward Ritter, of Allentown; Mrs. S. U. Moyer, Tampa, Florida, and U. A. Kriedler, of New York City. Funeral Monday at 1:30 at the family residence with services at Fritz Memorial chruch at 2 p.m.
