Harold W. Kreidler, 64, Bethlehem businessman and former school director, died Sunday night in St. Luke's Hospital. He lived at 1926 Fairland Ave. Kreidler, a shoe store owner, was elected to a six-year six-year six-year term on the Bethlehem School Board in 1945, and was elected vice president president of the board in ' December 1946. , - - -Born -Born Jan. 6, 1892, in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Milton E. and Emma (Clause) Kreidler. He attended public - schools in Bethlehem and was graduated from Central High School in 1909. He was employed as a clerk by the Lehigh Valley P.ailroad until 1930, when- when- he entered the shoe business with his father and brothers at 17 E. 3rd St, Bethlehem. Bethlehem. ! J In 1939 after the death of his father and - retirement - of his brothers - from . active participation, participation, he moved the shoe business to its present location at 314 S. New St., Bethlehem. " Active la Church A member of Wesley Methodist Church, Bethlehem, he served as trustee and superintendent of the adult department of the church for ' many years. He served as chairman of the building commit tee of the present Sunday school building and worked on the pres-;by pres-;by Mill-ent renovation committee of the church. He was associated as lay leader of the church and represented represented .the church on the Bethlehem Bethlehem Council of Churches. He served as past president of the South Side Business Men's Assn., and on the board of the Bethlehem Dinner Club. He was a member of Bethlehem Rotary Club for 20 years and was affiliated affiliated with the Bethlehem YMCA. - Surviving are his wife, Edith M. (Barton) Kreidler; a daughter, daughter, Mrs. Robert Cooney, Tulsa, Okla.; a granddaughter, Maureen Cooney, also of Tulsa, and a brother, Merritt S., Bethlehem. Services will . be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Daniel B. Sny der Funeral Home, 527 Center St., Bethlehem
