William G. Hager, 95, Butcher in Quakertown
William G. Hager, 95 a founder of one of Quakertown oldest operating busin esses, died Thursday in Zohlman Nursing Home, Richlandtown.
Hager and his brother, the late Samuel Hager, established Hager brother ?s Butcher Shop in 1897. He retired from the business in 1947.
Hager was the husband of the late Annie (Weierbach) Hager. Born in Rockhi ll Township, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Hager. He for merly lived at Erie Road, Quakertown.
He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Quakertown.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen M, wife of Frederick Stoneback of Quake rtown, and Louise, wife of James A. Fretz of El Paso, Texas; five grandchi ldren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 PM Monday in the Arthur W Treffinger Jr. funeral ho me, 20 N Ambler street, Quakertown. Calling hours will be from noon Mond ay until time of services. |
