Samuel G. Hager, Retired Butcher in Quakertown
Samuel G. Hager, retired Quakertown butcher, died last night in Quakerto wn hospital. He was 83.
Hager, of 200 Thatcher Road, Quakertown, was a partner for 45 years a nd a Hager brother?s butcher shop until his retirement in 1947. The sto re is still an operation and that borough.
Born in Haycock Township, Bucks County, he was the son of the late Willi am and Elizabeth (Gearhart) Hager.
He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Quakertown.
Surviving are his widow, Ella Mae ( Lewis) Hager; two sons, C Manasseh a nd S. Lamar, both of Quakertown; two daughters, Ethel, wife of Leslie Fo rd of Bethlehem, and Mrs. Wesley Dietz of Quakertown; one brother, Willi am G of Quakertown: 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the A W Treffinger and son hom e, 24 North Ambler St, Quakertown. Viewing will be 7 to 9 pm Tuesday |
