Herbert Knecht
Herbert Knecht, a former resident of Easton, died on Friday last at the ho me of his daughter, Mrs. Warren Fellows, 14 Gladstone Road, Lansdowne, P a. aged 73 years. Mr. Knecht was a native of Easton and was a son of the l ate Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Knecht. The family lived at 35 South Fifth Stree t, where the present home of the Jacksonian Democratic Association is loca ted. While residing in this city, Mr. Knecht was in the employ of the Leh igh Valley Railroad Company. He moved to Philadelphia 22 years ago a nd of recent years was employed as janitor of a school building.
Deceased is survived by his widow, who was formerly Miss Jennie Thornto n, of this city, and by one daughter, Mrs. Warren Fellows, Lansdowne, P a. He also leaves two brothers, Harry Knecht, of Philadelphia; Dr. Cyrus K necht, of Matawan, N.J. and one sister, Mrs. Louise Brewer, of Philadelphi a.
The funeral was held this afternoon at Lansdowne. Among those present we re Mr. and Mrs. J. Wesley Weiss, of 24 South Fourth Street, and daughte r, Miss Almira Weiss. |
