Catherine Marie Szmodis, 89, of 2025 Raubsville Road, Hellertown, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, in her home. She was the wife of the late Karl Szmodis Sr.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen E. (Krasley) Gruver.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingdom Hall, Hellertown.
Survivors: Sons, John of Hellertown and Peter G. of Easton; daughter, Frances L., wife of Joseph R. Palladino, with whom she resided, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Albert and Karl Jr., and a daughter, Marcella Hunsberger.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Heintzelman Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown. Call 6-8 p.m. Sunday
