Norman P. Simons, 77, of 49 N. Lehigh Ave., Wind Gap, died Wednesday in t he Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. He was the husband of Laura M. (K emmerer) Simons. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary Wednesday.
He was a utility man for Taylor-Wharton Co., Palmer Township, for 30 yea rs until retiring in 1972.
Born in Lower Nazareth Township, he was a son of the late Howard and Sarah (Houser) Simons.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wind Gap.
Simons was a former member of the Wind Gap Municipal Authority, financi al secretary of the Wind Gap Fire Co. 1938-72, and secretary of the Wind G ap Senior Citizens from 1972 until last year.
His widow is the only immediate survivor.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Altemose Funeral Home, 202 W est St., Wind Gap. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Friday. |
