Howard P. Simons
Howard P. Simons, of Wind Gap, died Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Dr. Brumbaugh 's Hospital, Pen Argyl after an illness of three weeks. He was born in Bus hkill Township, a son of the late James and Mary Frankenfield Simons. M r. Simons was a painter and decorator in Wind Gap and vicinity, and w as a resident of Wind Gap for 35 years.

He was active in civic organizations and was the oldest member of the Wi nd Gap Fire Co., and answered the last two fire calls before his illnes s. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was deacon and elder f or many years. And was a member of the Cemetery Board of the church. He w as affiliated with I.O.O. F. Lodge No. 1082 Wind Gap, and was a memb er of the Relief Association of the Fire Co. He was one of the organize rs of the Fire Co. band, and played the scymbal.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Sarah C. Houser Simons: twin sons, Norman of Wind Gap and Marvin of Bethlehem; one grandson, Merill Simons, Bethlehem, and one sisters, Mrs. Alvin Babp, Easton R. D. 1.

Funeral services will b e held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Schmidt funer al home, Wind Gap with the Rev. I. B. Klick officiating. Interment wi ll be in Wind Gap, cemetery, Plainfield Township.

Funeral of Mr. Simons
The funeral of Howard P. Simons, who died Saturday at Dr. Brumbaugh's Hosp ital, Pen Argyl, was held Wednesday afternoon frm the Schmidt Funeral hom e, Wind Gap, with the Rev. L. B. Klick, Pastor of the Plainfield Luther an Parish officiating. Interment was in the Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfie ld Township.

Pallbearers were: Fred Houser, Ray Houser, Raymond Hahn, Weldon Hahn, Fra nk Kemmerer, and Milton Kemmerer.
