Mrs. Ella Smith Called by Death
Wife of Former School Teacher was in her 74th Year
Mrs. Ella R. Smith, beloved resident of the north end for many years a nd a devout member of Dubbs Memorial Reformed church for more than 36 year s, died shortly before 6 o'clock p.m. Monday at her home, 726 Washington S t., Allentown. She was in her 74th year.

Mrs. Smith, wife of Francis F. Smith, former school teacher, had been i ll since Easter Sunday when she last attended Church. Last April 7 Mr. a nd Smith observed their 53rd wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Smith was born in Bethlehem, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Er ich) Frankenfield. She was a member of Dubbs church, which she joined shor tly after it was organized in 1902; the Adult Bible class and the Dorcas S ewing Circle of the church.

Besides her husband there survive eight children, Robert S. of Paterson, N .j.; Bertha, wife of Trusten Hughes, Gloucester, N.J; Elmer W. of Bethlehe m, Charles F., George W., Elizabeth, wife of Elwood Dotter, and Mary wi fe of Arthur Metzler, all of Allentown and Harry R. at home. There are al so 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Dubbs Church, 5th and Allen Sts., Frid ay at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery. The Re v. M. F. Klingaman will officiate.
