George B. Frankenfield, 94, formerly of Bechtelsville and Allentown, di ed Monday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salisbury Townshi p. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Lewis) Frankenfield.
He was employed by Pennsylvania Power and Light Co., Allentown, for abo ut 40 years, the last 18 as secretary to the president, working last for J ack K. Busby, before retiring in 1965. He began his utility service in 19 25 as a stenographer and clerk.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harvey D. and Martha Jane (Hof fman) Frankenfield.
He was a founder and first secretary of the Allentown Bowling Associatio n, serving 1927-45. He was inducted into its Bowlers Hall of Fame wh en it was formed in 1971.
He was a member and former deacon of Salem United Church of Christ, Allent own.
He was a 32nd degree Mason in Greenleaf Lodge 561, Allentown.
Survivors: Granddaughter, Deborah A. Frankenfield Mink, with whom he forme rly resided in Bechtelsville, four other grandchildren and two great-grand children. He was predeceased by sons, George B. Jr. and William Lewis.
