Ellen J. Jones Passes Away
Estimable Matron Dies at 75 Years after Prolonged Illness.

Mrs. Ellen Jane Jones, nee Seiple, the estimable wife of Thomas F. Jone s, retired Allentown businessman, was called in death yesterday afternoo n, and end coming at 4:30 o?clock at the residence of her son, T. Warren J ones, 1227 Turner Street, after a prolonged illness of a complication of a ilments. She was in her seventy-fifth year.

Although she had been in failing health for more than a year, news of t he death of Mrs. Jones will come as a severe shock of her legion of friend s. Mr. and Mrs. Jones resided in the city for the past twenty-none year s. Last October the venerable couple happily observed their golden weddi ng anniversary at their home, 135 East South Street, where they lived f or several years prior to taking up residence with their son five weeks ag o.

Mrs. Jones was born in Bethlehem a daughter of George and Caroline Seipl e. She was the only daughter in the family of six children. Five of whom a re now deceased. For more than a quarter of a century her husband was enga ged in the wall paper business in this city. Prior to his retirement thr ee years ago, he conducted a store for many years at 717 Linden Street. F or twelve years before thanking up residence in the Fourteenth ward, the f amily resided at Mountain Parl. Mrs. Jones was a woman of many splendid a ttributes having a kindly and devoutedly Christian nature that won the lo ve and esteem of all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Betha ny E. C. Church.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her passing two sons, T. Warren Jo nes, this city, and Royal Jones, of Philadelphia, together with a brothe r, William Jones, of Bethlehem.

Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed last night.
