Veteran Tailor Dies After 4-Year Illness
Eastburn F. Seiple Resided in Bethlehem Many years.
Eastburn F. Seiple, who had been a tailor in Bethlehem for many years, di ed at 5:10 a.m. yesterday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, M r. and Mrs. Charles Phillips, 506 North Nagle Street, after having been i ll for the past four years with complications resulting from a strok e. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Seiple had been a resident of Bethlehem for many years, and had conduc ted a shop of West Fourth Street, South Side, for more than 30 year s. He had also conducted shops in other parts of the city.
Upon the death of his son in Bethlehem last September, he came to Allento wn to live with his son-in-law and daughter.
He was a son of George and Caroline (Frankenfield) Seiple. His wife who w as Harriet Knoll, of Rittersville preceded him in death, as did two childr en; Belva, wife of Charles Phillips, this city, Herbert, this city, Elle n, wife of Arthur Hudson, Milford, Del., and Elsie, wife of William Tapkin g, Baltimore. A brother, William, Bethlehem a sister, Mrs. Thomas Jones, t his city and seven grandchildren survive him.
The funeral will be private at the home of the son-in-law and daughter wi th whom he had lived on Friday at 2:30 p.m daylight saving. Interment wi ll be made in Rittersville cemetery. |
