Mrs. Edith Dietz, Operated Grocery Store in Easton
Mrs. Edith Dietz, 79, of 627 Parsons St., died yesterday in Easton Hospit al wehre she was admitted Dec. 128.
Mrs. Dietz formerly operated a grocery store at 1229 Washington St., She r etired in 1964 and went to live with hr brother, Raymond C. Young, at t he Parsons Street address.
Born Dec. 12, 1890, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Evan and Cla ra Frankenfield Young. Her husband, Harold Dietz, died in 1925.
She was a member of St. Peter?s Lutheran Church, the Lady Kinnard cl ub of the YWCA. The American Legion Auxiliary. The Golden Age Club of East on and the Chrysanthemum Club of Nazareth.
Her brother is her only survivor. Another brother, Russell, died last Nove mber.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Shillinger FuneralHom e, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Heights Cemetery. |
