Loretta M. Browning, 84, of the Episcopal House, Allentown, died Friday, M arch 24, 2006 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, All entown. She was the wife of the late Lewis Browning. Born in Fountain Hil l, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Helen M. (Frankenfield) H artz. Loretta was an assembler for the former Allentown Paper Box for 18 y ears. She then worked at the Jewish Community Center in Playcare. Mrs. Bro wning was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Mediator, Allentown.

Survivors: Nieces and nephews, Linda and her husband, Michael Ports, of Wh itehall, Terry and his wife, Terri Adams, of Benton, Chris Baran of Bethle hem, Debra and her husband, Russ Renner, of Doylestown, Kathy and her husb and, George Kovalchick, of Bethlehem, Barbara and her husband, Tom Altemo s, of Stroudsburg, Robert Hartz of Bethlehem, Gary Hettlinger in Arizona a nd Sharon Hettlinger in Arizona. She was predeceased by a sister, Dor is R. Hettlinger, and brothers, Richard F. Hartz and Charles R. Hartz.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 1335-37 Linden St ., Allentown. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
