Isaac was baptized at Dryland Union Church. The sponsors were Isaac
Herzell and his wife, Margaret. Isaac was confirmed at Dryland Church on 2
November 1816 at the age of 15.
In 1834 Isaac was a farmer in Lower Nazareth Twp. Around 1847-1849, Isa ac and
his family left Northampton County and moved to Norton Twp., Summit Co., O hio.
Prior to his departure from Northampton County to settle in Ohio, Isaac bo ught
and sold a number of tracts of land in Northampton County:
- On 8 March 1834, Isaac Hartzell, Lower Nazareth Twp., yeoman, and his wi fe,
Mary, sold a tract of 86 perches in Lower Nazareth Twp. to Christian Geor ge for
$40. The tract was part of a larger piece of land purchased by Isaac Hartz ell
from Jacob Hartzell (his brother) and wife, Magdalena, on 26 November 1827 .

- On 19 September 1834, Isaac Hartzell, Lower Nazareth Twp., farmer, boug ht a
tract of the land in Lower Nazareth Twp. that had previously belonged to h is
father-in-law, Conrad George, from the administrators of Conrad's estate.

- On 10 March 1845, Isaac received two tracts of land of 1) 76 acres and 1 14
perches and 2) 25 acres and 25 perches in Lower Nazareth Twp. from his fat her,
John Hartzell Esq. of Lower Nazareth Twp. for $612.12. Both tracts were pa rts
of a larger tract of 197 acres and 137 perches conveyed by the Penns to Jo hn
Hartzell in 1802. (Northampton County deed book E-7, pg. 582)
- Also on 10 March 1845, Isaac received an additional 19 acres and 9 perch es
of timberland in Bushkill Twp., Northampton Co., PA from his father, John
Hartzell Esq. for $381.12 1/2. The tract was part of a 22 acre tract th at had
been purchased by John Hartzell from George Zearfoss on 27 March 1816.

- On 1 April 1848, Isaac sold the larger of the above two tracts of land t o
John Reinheimer, wheelright, of Lower Nazareth Twp. for $8,400. (Northampt on
County deed book H-7, pg. 142)
- Also on 1 April 1848, Isaac sold the tract of 19 acres and 9 perches in
Bushkill Twp., Northampton County, to Arthur Ritter for $428.76.

Isaac is buried in Loyal Oak Cemetery behind Trinity Lutheran Church in No rton
Twp., Summit Co., Ohio.
