Mrs. Ervin Ackerman
Mrs. Minnie Shannon Ackerman, 78, wife of Ervin Ackerman, of 201 N. Schank Ave., Pen Argyl, died at her home yesterday afternoon after a long illness.
Mrs. Ackerman was born at Delabole, Plainfield Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Frey Shannon, a resident of Pen Argyl for 53 years, she was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Pen Argyl and its Friendly Bible C lass. In former years she was a pianist at the Delabole Union Sunday School.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Walter S. Ackerman, of Philadelphia and a sister, miss Daisy Shannon of Pen Argyl.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Swoyer Funeral Home, Pen Argyl. |
