Emma Henrietta Field, 97, of Watkins Glen, N.Y., formerly of Stocker Hill Road, Easton, died Friday, April 28, in Skilled Nursing Unit 1, Schuyler Hospital, Montour Falls, N.Y. She was the wife of the late George Maxwell Field.

She worked for Binney & Smith Inc., Easton, from 1952 until retiring in 1967. Previously, she co-founded the George M. Field Coal Co., Easton, with her husband in 1932 and managed it from the time of his death in 1937 until 1952. Earlier, she worked for S tocker Brothers Dairy, near Zucksville.

She was a daughter of the late Charles Albert and Olivia (Uhler) Stocker.

She was a life member of Schoeneck Moravian Church, Nazareth.

She was also a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, William Parsons Chapter 185, Easton, and a member of the Pennsylvania German Society.

In 1974, she received honorable recognition from Cadette Girl Scout Troop 201 of the Wilson area.

Survivors: Daughter, sons, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, George Maxwell Jr.

Prayer service: 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Arrangements, Haughey-Wood Funeral Home, Watkins Glen.
